Major Duties

  • Manage the Government Travel Charge Card program for the Command as Agency/Organization Program Coordinator.
  • Manage the Defense Travel System for the Command as the Lead Defense Travel Administrator.
  • Serve as the command's Defense Travel System Debt Management Monitor (DMM), tracking all actions involving overpayments to travelers.
  • Review, analyze, and interpret various financial documents and reports, recommending solutions to difficult and complex problems.
  • Provide advisory/consulting services for customers, identifying and prescribing specific courses of action to correct any overpayment situation.
  • Interpret regulations and directives promulgated by higher authority covering a variety of resource management disciplines and uses this information to establish, prepare, and disseminate policy and guidance to customers.
  • Attend and participate in conferences, symposiums, seminars, and educational meetings to keep informed of current and proposed techniques related to various aspects of financial management.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by managing a commands Defense Travel System (DTS) and having a strong understanding of the modules and reporting functions as well as the ability to train on the matters; ensuring travel is compliant and auditable to federal regulations identified in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR); familiar working with CITI Bank Government Travel Card as an Agency Program Coordinator.
