Major Duties
- Ensures that the periodic reinvestigations are accomplished in a timely manner; conducts preliminary interviews for those applying for clearances; controls access to classified information; and monitors facilities.
- Establishes, implements, and maintains the Information Security Program.
- Conducts self-inspections and conducts inspections to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures and takes action to affect correction of discrepancies.
- Serves as the primary Personnel/Information Security Manager for the Command.
- Reviews requests submitted by operating officials throughout the command for assigning position sensitivity classifications to those positions whose occupants must handle or have access to Top Secret, Secret or Confidential information.
- Identifies security controls for Force Protection/Counter Terrorism according to the standards to assure maximum protection of the 106th Signal Brigade.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing a wide range of Personnel Security, Physical Security, and Information Security duties and reviewing, analyzing, and or resolving security requirements or problems dealing with policies and security programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11). Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
