Major Duties

  • Serves as the Company’s Chief of Operations responsible for daily operations, short and long-range communications planning, coordinating, directing, and reviewing a variety of work functions.
  • Develops short and long-range plans required for efficient and effective utilization of personnel and equipment required to support 24hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week telecommunications services to customers.
  • Provides operational and technical supervision for military and DA Civilian personnel, including serving as first-line supervisor.
  • Acts as the central point of contact for all communications circuit/trunk/system or equipment degradations or outages.
  • Responsible for 24 hour notification and reporting of problem situations to Battalion staff, the 21st Signal Brigade, and Defense Information System Agency (DISA).

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by developing communication systems and network requirements and procedures to meet organizational objectives and/or customer requirements; creating/presenting reports on the status of assigned telecommunications operations; and providing staff direction and advice relative to existing communication systems.
