Major Duties
- Provides overall Army Protection Program (APP) guidance and advice to program managers in development, implementation, and assessment of the department’s comprehensive Anti-Terrorism program.
- Prepares staff action summaries, executive summaries, decision/information papers, develops and presents briefings, facilitates meetings and arranges for/hosts training conferences as required.
- Executes Readiness Reviews to capture the Brigade's readiness posture with a holistic process to identify and manage critical resources for risk mitigation in support of 2d Theater Signal Battalion's assigned mission.
- Assesses brigade and battalions’ new construction and renovation projects for Force Protection review at all stages of planning, programming, design, and construction.
- Review design of new construction and renovation projects for inhabited facilities parking areas and vehicle access points, to ensure the construction, meet the standoff requirements in DoD Construction Standards of the UFC 4-010-01/ 4-01-02.
- Evaluate the brigade and battalions Antiterrorism/Physical Safety programs periodic for their annual assessment prepared, records maintained of Vulnerability Assessment/associated corrections and ensuring tracking of any vulnerabilities.
- Administers and maintains the brigade’s Operations Security (OPSEC) program.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.

Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by interpreting and implementing higher headquarters security regulations; providing overall Army Protection Program (APP) guidance and advice in developing and implementing local security policies and procedures which involves routine and recurring access to Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) documents, materials and systems; conducting investigations, inspections, and surveys to recommend and/or take appropriate corrective actions; preparing security reports.
