SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
GG 13Major Duties
- Serve as the Cyber Operations Branch Chief in the Cyber Security Division and as a Senior Information Assurance specialist in the Army Information Assurance Program for all IT assets under the in accordance with Army regulations.
- Provide advice and guidance concerning Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber Security matters to the Cyber Security Division Chief, SANEC and the serviced Gillem Enclave and outlying Tenants.
- Review and evaluate the impact of new systems or system changes against DoD and Army IA/Cyber security configuration management, architecture,
- and network security standards and requirements, to include existing or proposed interfaces with other computerized systems.
- Review computer system techniques for accessing files and the total system, to assure data, equipment, and files are not compromised.
- Provide technical security advice and assistance on the design, development, integration, implementation, and operation of all ICAN management information systems.
- Manage certification of Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) for use by various Installation organizations. Manages completion of TEMPEST packages for submission to the Army Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).
- Ensure all IS and Commercial off the Shelf (COTS)/Government off the Shelf (GOTS) within the area of responsibility are properly certified and accredited in accordance with the DIACAP and configuration
- management policies and practices prior to installing devices/systems on the production ICAN.
- Exercise direct supervision and control over civilian staff consisting of administrative, technical, and support personnel. Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates
