Major Duties

Serves as the Command’s liaison and point of Contact (POC) with all national outreach units as well as with senior USG agencies and elements (Department of State Office of Protocol, The White House, Congress), and Washington, DC-based foreign embassies to identify upcoming interactions(scheduled and emergent) with representatives of allied foreign nations and private sector entities.(Should the Command be contacted directly by such representatives, ensures that cognizant offices within the DoD and, as appropriate, intelligence community [IC] are kept fully informed, and to assess/advise whether such contacts are appropriate on protocol grounds.) 

Qualifications/ Specialized Experience

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. One year of specialized experience would be demonstrated by: 1) Coordinating with multiple leaders and staff members to determine the resources needed for events; 2) Researching customs of other organizations to ensure compliance; 3) Interpreting policies and procedures to address protocol issues.

Conditions of Employment:

1. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information access and

complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph.

2. This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. As a precondition and continuing condition of employment, the incumbent of this position must, IAW Chapter 5, section II, paragraphs 5-8b and 5-8c(4) of AR 600-85 (The Army Substance Abuse Program) and DA PAM 600-85 (Army Substance Abuse Program Civilian Services), Chapter 3, paragraphs 3-2e and
f agree to submit urinalysis testing on a recurring basis. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for
Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the DA, Drug Free Federal Workplace Program.

3. Incumbent will be required to be available for other than normal duty hours to include weekends to support exercises and crisis planning.

4. TDY may be required. Incumbent may be required to travel by military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of assigned tasks.

5. The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirement outlined in NSA/CSS Policy5-1.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and

       an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
