- Lead a multi-dimensional team of data scientists in the development of new or improved data science methods, techniques, principles, and concepts primarily related to network operations and cyber security.
- Provide leadership and the analytical study direction to Data Scientists, Operations Research Analysts, and Computer Scientists.
- Direct the analytical study efforts for teams engaged in the conduct of data science and cost, economic, and business transformation analyses of current, evolving, or proposed Department of Defense and Army Enterprise Information Systems initiatives.
- Plan the delivery of data science tools of considerable difficulty and complexity, which require the formulation and development of new techniques and methods.
- Represent the command on a variety of liaison, advisory, and consulting assignments with key technical and management personnel on current and emerging data science, operations research, cost/economic analysis, and Big Data transformation.
- Conduct analyses on very large scale, complex, and controversial programs which involve alternative courses of actions which have political and economic sensitivity.
- Assign tasks based on the expertise and capability of work force in planning, evaluating, documenting, and defending the technology program of the Center.
- Assist the Director in managing the implementation of the Command's Data Science Program, with primary focus on identifying where data science can further benefit the command.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by leading and developing multi-disciplined data science technical teams providing complex analytical products or services; utilizing modern data science tools, techniques, principles and concepts to formulate and develop new techniques and methods; collaborating with multiple levels of technical and non-technical personnel, including senior leadership, to interpret organizational requirements and translate them into well-defined technical or analytical problem sets; and delivering analytical products to stakeholders and engaging with stakeholders to ensure products satisfy stakeholder requirements.
