Major Duties
- Serve as the Battalion Military and Civilian Personnel Section Chief for the 59th Signal Battalion.
- Supervise a Military and Civilian staff of 11 personnel on JBER, Wainwright and Greely.
- Provide full scope of technical Military and Civilian Humane Resource (HR) personnel management and supervision to the 59th Signal Battalion.
- Provide advice and recommendations to the Battalion Commander (BC), Battalion Staff (BS), and other key, military and civilian leaders on the personnel management of both officers, enlisted, and civilian personnel.
- Incumbent accomplishes a wide variety of assignments concerned with the effectiveness and efficiency of Human Resource programs and operations.
- Provide technical services on assigned portions of position management, classification, staffing, and human resource development programs.
- Provides the full range of technical support regarding management-employee relations and labor relations.

Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by utilizing automation programs such as Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) to improve efficiency and accuracy of personnel and pay processes; assisting with implementing appropriate actions involved in hiring process (i.e. position description modifications, recruitment justification, appraisals and awards, etc.); and providing technical and policy guidance regarding military and civilian programs.
