Major Duties

  • Develops requirements and processes for improving intelligence support to the operation, management, and defense (OM and D) of Army Networks.
  • Provides direct operational, all-source intelligence support and production to the CONUS Network Service Centers.
  • Furnishes consultation and advice on broad issues relating to the exploitation of publicly available information for intelligence purposes.
  • Develops staff procedures to provide required classified and open source intelligence support to the development of counter measures to support the command Operations Security (OPSEC) program.
  • Applies expert technical knowledge of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Cyber-related metadata analysis processes, collection, processing, technological exploitation and analysis in support of Computer Network Defense (CND) mission requirements.
  • Provides leading edge Cyberspace Operations support to an evolving Army Cyberspace Operations mission.
  • Provides reviews and monitors the quality control of intelligence and cyber threat products such as briefings, reports, modeling, or simulations on complex I and TS issues with analysis and background.

Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting all-source intelligence analysis of Cyber threats; providing command/executive level threat briefs; AND developing new methods, approaches and/or procedures regarding research and support operations in the use of Intelligence and Threat Support (I&TS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
